This week, A. Lamp Concrete Contractors completed installing the chain link fence and guard rail. The contractor also performed landscape restoration and pavement markings.

The only remaining items remaining include installation of traffic signs, installation of pedestrian push buttons, and powering the new pedestrian crossing signals.

There will be no full ramp closures throughout the duration of the project.  However, there may be instances when getting around this area will be difficult due to  construction operations.

This week, A. Lamp Concrete Contractors poured the concrete sidewalk along the project.  

Next week, the contractor is scheduled to complete the chain link fence and guard rail installation. The contractor is also anticipating to perform the pavement marking associated with the project.

Next week, the contractor is scheduled to install the chain link fence, new guard rail, and pour concrete sidewalk.

Next week, the contractor is scheduled to continue construction of the retaining wall, grading for the sidewalks, and installing concrete sidewalks.

This week, Home Towne Electric, the electrical sub-contractor, performed installation of poles and signals, installed electrical wire, and installed conduit.

Next week, A. Lamp Concrete Contractors is scheduled to perform grading for new sidewalk, retaining wall construction, and cutting the existing curb.

This week, A. Lamp Concrete Contractors performed removal of existing sidewalk, excavation for new sidewalk, frame and pour concrete foundations for new poles, installation of electrical conduit, and removal of existing guard rail.

Next week the contractor is scheduled to perform installation of electrical wiring, grading for new sidewalk, and cutting the existing curb.

A.Lamp Contractors, from Schaumburg, IL, is the general contractor for the project.

The project consists primarily of new sidewalk construction and addition of pedestrian crossings on the north side of Willow Road at the Interstate 294 ramp. The work will include new sidewalk, pedestrian signals, cross-walks, block retaining wall and other work.

The project will be funded using a combination of Federal and the Villages of Glenview and Northbrook funds.
                                                                                                                                                                              
This week a traffic signal maintenance transfer was performed from IDOT to A.Lamp Contractors.

Next week, the contractor will begin removal of existing sidewalk and excavation for new sidewalk. Concrete foundations for new signal poles is also anticipated to begin.
